With the Hands of Christ
Epiphany Parish was built by the hands of many; Daniel J. Farrell laid the cornerstone at St. Joseph's, Mae Cooksie was the housekeeper for the Sisters at Holy Family, Rocca DeLucca, a WWI veteran, and Miss Pearsol all found rest in St. Joseph's cemetery.
Explore the rich history of our parish through the St. Joseph's section of Elmwood/St. Joseph's; the parish and city builders, literature, art work on the "Zinkies" and stories behind the folk markers.
Join us Sunday, June 9 at 1:00 PM, gathering on the south side of block 4 in the St. Joseph's section in Elmwood/St. Joseph's Cemetery for the first tour opportunity of the afternoon. Our 60 minute guided walking tour will be led by Karen Byrne, Pastoral Associate Epiphany Parish. Following our first tour there will be a brief prayer service and refreshments from 2:00 to 2:30. The second tour will begin at 2:30 on the south side of block 4.
This is a walking only tour, please wear sturdy shoes. Pre-registration is requested by calling Karen at 641-423-5001 or email to [email protected].
