A Candidate Night will be held Wednesday, April 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the Epiphany Parish Center (north of St. Joseph Church)
for interested parishioners to learn more. Information about the council and a light meal will be provided.

The Epiphany Parish Election will be held at Masses the weekend of May 13 & 14 and we are seeking candidates to run. Candidates must be baptized, confirmed, registered in the parish, and should attend Mass on a regular basis.
The principal function of the Pastoral Council is to serve as an advisory group to the pastorto enhance, guide, and suggest ways of fulfilling the parish mission. The Pastoral Council makes recommendations for the good of the parish community; therefore, its membership should include a broad cross section of the parish including age, gender, skills, and talents.
Open positions include:
Pastoral Council (two positions, three year commitment)
Pastoral Council Youth Representative (one position, one year commitment)
Newman Board of Education (one position, three year commitment)
Desirable personal characteristics of Pastoral Council members include: Enthusiastic vision about the future of the parish
A desire for personal spiritual growth and growth of our parish
The ability to inspire, empower, and delegate to others
Flexibility, openness, and tolerance for other people and their ideas
The willingness to listen and speak openly and respectfully
The ability to work towards a consensus
The ability to maintain confidentiality when necessary
Responsibilities include: Attend a monthly meeting
Serve as a liaison to a parish committee or serve as an executive member
Offer active and prepared participation in council meetings
Be actively involved as a leader in the parish life and development
Oversee the Vibrant Parish Plan
Make a three-year commitment
